Bloggers Quilt Show Entry - click the link to the right for other entries!

I don't really have just one favorite quilt, I LOVE them all, but one that stands out to me is a top that was pieced by myself and several friends (that I have never met) in a round robin. My favorite color is green (chartreuse to be exact) and I have come to love the secondary triad color scheme of green, orange and purple.

carol by you.
Since making this quilt, life has been busy; every day a scramble to the finish, flopping into bed at the wee hours of the morning, just to turn around and snooze the blaring alarm after only a few hours have elapsed. Time for another day of waking the kids up, getting them off to school, and heading to work.

This is the LAST quilt top I have made. Or been a part of making. I really sewed a border on 6 other quilts. The part of this I actually designed and sewed is the center block up to the medium green first border. This quilt is big enough for a king size bed! Imagine doing a king size round robin. NUTS! But the quilt tops all turned out great!

I am ready to get back into quilting, and am making efforts to do so, I was so passionate about quilting. Unfortunately, the rigors of work and kids just took its toll and took over my existence. I am ready for quilt therapy to return to my world.

  4. What a stunning quilt. I totally understand the demands of work and family. It is nice to know that your fabric will still be there when you feel inpired to create. I find that some time at the machine helps me recover from a long busy day.

  7. Wow, that is beautiful! I hope you are able to get back to quilting, but it is hard when you have kids. I didn't get much done quilt-wise when mine were young, but I'm going crazy now that the nest is empty!
